Candle Tips

• When you first burn a candle, you will get more fragrance and less wastage if you give your candle a memory burn., for example… for every inch of your candles diameter let the candle burn for one hour, 2 inches burn for 2 hours, 3 inches for 3 hours..This will allow the wax to form a pool. We recommend that you extinguish your candle once the pool has formed for about an hour, when it is relit it will remember to burn to the same diameter.
• We always try to use the correct size of wick for the diameter of the container. This stops any wastage of wax, and you get the full benefit of your lovely candle. Any small deposits that you may have can be carefully folded into the middle (this is called cuddeling) when you extinguish the flame.
• When you start to burn a Soy candle you will notice that the wick will have a black mushroom appearance. This always happens with quality handmade candles. Just trim this off before you light it next time around.
• Always use a votive holder with sides that will snugly fit your votive. When these small candles are burnt they completely melt into a pool. You would normally get about 15 hours from votives so they need to contained safely.

You can burn them if you wish. The wick goes all the way down to the bottom and all the wax is fragranced.
